Volunteer opportunities are available for any skill level!
For over 10 years Bici Libre was located in the MacAurthur Park area of Los Angeles
We are currently looking for a new location to be open daily, please help us with our popup repair projects and finding a new location.
Bici Libre Repair Clinics are free bicycle repair assistance by volunteers to fix flat tires, brakes, chains and more on bikes and wheels on other rolling mobility devices. Participants can choose to help fix their own bike or have a volunteer fix their bike. Some new or used parts can be offered at low or no cost.

Our comprehensive services caters to a diverse clientele, ranging from bicycle commuters, bicycle delivery, homeless people with a emphasis on Spanish speakers with limited English understanding.
Bici Libre Adopt A Bike
- Bici Libre gives bikes, locks, helmets and lights to low income/homeless people in Silver Lake
- The Project sight is run by SELAH at the Silver Lake Community Church
- This program is funded by the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, the Bicycle Kitchen and small donations from the community. Thank you ReeLight for the discount lights!
Bici Libre was a started by the Los Angeles Bicycle Coalition in 2011
- Initially called the Bike Wrangler Space the mostly Latino Volunteers decided to change the name.
- Bici is short for Bicicleta and translates to Bicycle
- Libre translates to liberated or free/freedom
- Bici Libre is an idea of freedom through the bicycle felt by many cyclists as they move faster than walking, less expensive than the bus and far less expensive than a car, as well as an enjoyable way to get exercise.
Karmic Action Retribution Management Agency (K.A.R.M.A) is the nonprofit 501(c)(3) that was created to be the fiscal receiver of donations to Bici Libre. KARMA also known and Karmic Action has several projects for uplifting and education of under served communities.
